Nunchucks (NetEnt): four fighting nuns, a parish under siege, and a bonus round that keeps every modifier running, under a 12,000x ceiling
Published 30 October 2026. NetEnt released Nunchucks on 29 October 2026, and the joke lands before the first spin: the people defending the parish are nuns, and they fight back. Sinpin and his gang come for the communion boxes, expecting an easy take. Instead they meet Sisters Faith, Hope and Love, trained by Mother Sofia, in a comic-strip convent where training panels frame the grid and every nun on the reels is a feature waiting to fire. The game is a 6-reel, 4-row slot with 4,096 ways to win. RTP 96.21%, high volatility, 12,000x max win.

Four nuns, one parish, and a gang after the communion boxes
Wins pay left to right on adjacent reels, with no fixed paylines to memorise, and the paytable keeps the joke going. The low pays are 10-A royals. The high pays are the weapons and the takings: ninja stars, grenades, nunchucks, crosses and collection boxes. Six of a kind pays 2.5x to 3.75x the bet for the royals and 2.5x to 6x for the high pays, and six wilds pay 6x. The wild substitutes for every regular symbol except Bonus, Super Bonus and Nun symbols, and a wild landing on top of a Nun symbol does not stop her feature from firing.
The look is bold cartoon panels rather than a quiet chapel. Nuns practise martial arts in the frames around the grid, Sinpin glares from the Bonus symbol, and the whole thing plays as a parish that stopped turning the other cheek a while ago.
What each nun does
Special Nun symbols can land in any phase of the game. Each one fires her own feature and may also trigger a respin, and more than one feature can run at the same time. The Colossal Nun drops a mystery symbol 2x2 to 4x4 in size, which then turns into a regular paying symbol, or into a Giant Wild if it overlaps a wild reel. The Wild Reel Nun turns the whole reel she lands on wild. The Multiplier Nun hands multipliers to one or more reels, and when a win touches those reels the multipliers add up and apply to the win. The Upgrade Nun does not start a new feature: she improves the ones already running, growing a Colossal Mystery symbol by one level, doubling active reel multipliers, or adding one to three extra wild reels where reels are still free.
Respin sequences are where the features stack. Before respins begin, every landed Nun fires her feature, and those features stay live for the whole sequence. More nuns can land during the sequence, the Upgrade Nun can show up mid-sequence, and wins are paid after each respin until no further respin is awarded.
Bonus Spins, and the Super version that holds everything
Three, four, five or six Bonus symbols anywhere on the grid award 8, 10, 12 or 14 Bonus Spins. If at least one of the triggering symbols is a Super Bonus symbol, the round becomes Super Bonus Spins instead. That one change matters more than the spin count. In regular Bonus Spins, active Nun Features reset after each spin, so every spin starts fresh. In Super Bonus Spins, active features stay live for the entire round, new nuns keep arriving, and the Upgrade Nun keeps improving what is already there. Respins inside either bonus work the same way as in the base game, and the round is played at the same bet as the spin that triggered it.
Elevate buys, and what to check before playing
The Elevate menu, where it is offered, gives five shortcuts. Bonus Hunt costs 3x the bet and raises the chance of landing features. Guaranteed Nun costs 25x and lands at least one Nun symbol, with a chance of respins. Bonus Spins can be bought for 100x and Super Bonus Spins for 300x, with at least one Nun symbol in the bought round. Super Nun Spin costs 500x, lands at least one Nun symbol, and greatly raises the chance of Bonus Spins or Super Bonus Spins. Some markets restrict or ban feature buys, so the menu is not the same everywhere.
The headline RTP of 96.21% is the top version of the game, so the figure at a given casino is worth checking in the game panel before spinning. Published stake ranges also differ between listings, so check the panel rather than assuming a top bet. And the 12,000x ceiling is a maximum, not an expectation: it is most likely reached in the Super Bonus Spins round, with features stacked and held across the whole round, not from a single lucky symbol. One listing rates the game as medium volatility rather than high, so read the rating as a guide, not a fixed promise.
