1. Licensing & Legal Standing

We verify that an operator holds an active license from a recognized regulator (e.g. Curaçao, Malta, or — for our GEO guides — the relevant national or state authority such as Lagos LSLGA, Coljuegos, or Brazil's SPA). We check license status directly against the regulator's public register where one exists, and flag when a market's legal status is contested or in flux (as is currently the case in Brazil and Nigeria).

2. Payment Support & Withdrawal Speed

We test whether an operator actually supports the payment rails relevant to each country we cover — PIX (Brazil), SPEI (Mexico), PSE (Colombia), and crypto (Nigeria, Mexico, Colombia) — rather than relying on marketing claims. Where possible, we track real reported withdrawal times and compare them against the operator's stated SLA.

3. Customer Support Quality

We assess availability (24/7 vs. limited hours), channels offered (live chat, email, phone), and average response time based on direct testing and player-reported experience.

4. Bonus Fairness

We read the actual terms of welcome bonuses and promotions: wagering multiplier, maximum bet while wagering, game-weighting rules, and withdrawal caps. A large headline bonus with an unreasonable wagering requirement or excessive restrictions is scored down, not up.

5. Game Library & Software Providers

We check the range and quality of game providers (slots, live casino, table games) and confirm RTP data against provider-published figures where available — the same data that feeds our Slot RTP Database.

6. Ongoing Re-Verification

Licensing status, payment-method availability, and legal frameworks change — sometimes quickly, as seen in Brazil's 2026 payment-method restrictions and Nigeria's 2024 Supreme Court ruling. We re-check listed operators and country guides periodically and note the last-updated date at the bottom of each page.
