Can You Use a VPN at Online Casinos? The Honest Answer
Most review sites publish lists of "VPN-friendly casinos". We did something else: we opened the actual Terms and Conditions of 6 casinos and read what they say about VPNs (TrustDice we checked via its public site pages; Rollbit's official Terms would not open, so its section is unverified). Here is what we found.
Three of them (BitStarz, Cashy, N1 Casino) ban it outright and warn that winnings can be confiscated. The rest either ban geo-bypass in substance or say nothing at all - and silence is not permission.
What each casino's Terms actually say about VPNs
Every quote below is from a casino's official Terms page or official site, with a link so you can verify it yourself. Verdicts: banned means the Terms name VPNs directly, not stated means they do not, contradictory means official pages disagree.

Consequences are spelled out too: clause 2.8.5 allows suspension, restrictions or a permanent ban; clause 2.8.7 allows account closure and withholding of winnings; clauses 3.3, 3.4 and 3.7 say withdrawals and refunds are not guaranteed when you break the rules and bonus winnings can be voided.

Cashy - banned

Same operator template as BitStarz: suspension or permanent ban (2.8.5), account closure with withheld winnings (2.8.7), no guaranteed withdrawal when you breach the restricted-countries policy (3.3), bonus winnings of players from restricted countries voided automatically (3.4). Note: Belarus and Russia are on Cashy's restricted-countries list (clause 3.6).

"Using VPN to bypass provider's block is strictly prohibited and may lead to confiscation of winnings." (clause 3.2)
Important: N1 Casino's restricted-countries list (published at casino-n1.com/terms-and-conditions) includes Nigeria, Kenya, India, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and South Africa. If you are in one of those countries, N1 will not accept you at all - VPN or no VPN.

The word "VPN" does not appear. But two clauses cover it in substance:
"By registering an account with us and using the Website you confirm that you're not located in or from a Restricted Jurisdiction and are not using any third party software to access our sites from Restricted Jurisdictions." (clause 3.2)
"You accept and acknowledge that we reserve the right to detect and prevent the use of prohibited techniques... These steps may include, but are not limited to, examination of Players device properties, detection of geo-location and IP masking..." (clause 2.1.18)
Penalty (clause 3.3): immediate account closure, confiscation of winnings and rewards.
Cloudbet - not stated
Official Terms: cloudbet.com - Terms
"VPN" and "proxy" do not appear. The Terms instead require you to be physically in an allowed jurisdiction (clauses 5.4/5.5, 7.1.3 - including at the moment of withdrawal), give Cloudbet the right to verify your physical location (clause 7.1.5), and allow account closure at their discretion (clause 7.4.2). Using a VPN to fake your location contradicts these clauses, but it is not named directly.

Mega Dice - not stated
Official Terms: megadice.com - General Terms and Conditions
"VPN" and "proxy" do not appear at all. Clause 13.1: "Breach of T&Cs may result in account suspension, closure, or withholding of winnings." One honest footnote: Belarus is not on Mega Dice's restricted-countries list - and Cloudbet's official restricted list does not include Belarus either. Silence about VPNs is not permission, though.
Rollbit - could not verify

The page is protected by anti-bot checks and we could not read it during our research. Third-party sites quote a clause 13.3 banning location manipulation via VPN or proxy, but we treat that as unverified until we read the official page. We will update this section once we can.
TrustDice - contradictory
This one is strange. One official page (trustdice.win - Litecoin gambling) says: "You can safely use our platform and play Litecoin casino games with the help of a VPN." But another official page (trustdice.win/sports) geo-blocks by IP and says: "If you are using a VPN or proxy server, try to turn it off." Two official pages, two opposite signals - so we cannot honestly present TrustDice as approving VPN play either.
Why you will not find a "VPN casinos" list on this site
Search "best VPN-friendly casinos" and you will get ranked lists claiming operators "allow VPN" or are "explicitly VPN-friendly". None of them quote the operators' Terms - because the Terms do not back those claims. A casino that quietly tolerates VPN traffic today can still confiscate your winnings tomorrow under a clause you never read. We would rather lose a ranking than publish a list we cannot defend.

Can I use a VPN to play at an online casino?
The VPN will technically connect, but the casino's Terms usually forbid using it to bypass geo-blocks. BitStarz, Cashy and N1 Casino say it directly and warn that winnings can be confiscated. We could not find a single casino whose Terms clearly allow VPN play from a restricted country.
Which casinos allow VPN use?
None that we could verify from official Terms. TrustDice sends mixed signals (one official page allows it, another tells you to turn the VPN off), which is not a clear approval either.
What happens if a casino catches me using a VPN?
Typical Terms allow account suspension or permanent closure, confiscation of winnings, voided bonuses, and sometimes forfeited deposits. Detection usually happens at withdrawal, when KYC documents reveal your real country.
Is it legal to use a VPN for online gambling?
Using a VPN is legal in most countries, but using it to gamble from a country the casino does not accept (or where gambling is banned) can break both the casino's Terms and local law. In strict jurisdictions that can mean criminal penalties.
What if I use a VPN just for privacy, with a server in my own country?
