How the dirt and bombs work
Every spin covers random positions on the bottom rows with dirt. Under the dirt can sit a Bonus symbol, a Bomb or nothing at all, so part of the grid stays hidden before a single win is evaluated. Winning combinations explode and new symbols drop in, but the dirt stays put until a bomb clears it. Six bomb types clear set patterns: the Small Box takes a 3x3 area, the Teddy Bear clears a cross, the Big Box wipes a 5x5 block, the Glass Can clears three rows, Gasoline clears three columns, and the Cake clears its row, its column and both diagonals.
Gems, the Shovel and the Toolbox
Gems are where the money sits. A gem pays its base value times the bet only when a bomb blast removes the dirt covering it, and at the start of every new avalanche each visible gem grows by its base value. Base values run from 1x all the way to 1,000x, so a gem that survives several avalanches can be worth far more than its starting value by the time a bomb finally uncovers it. The Shovel removes itself, drops fresh gems into empty dirt spots on its reel and upgrades the gems already there. The Toolbox does the same thing across every reel at once.
The Descent bonus round
Three Bonus symbols start The Descent, but a bonus symbol still buried under dirt does not count. The round begins on an empty grid, every new drop brings dirt along with it, and the dirt is sticky, so the grid slowly fills as the round plays out. The bonus ends when the grid is full of dirt. Each bonus symbol above three in the trigger removes the lowest-paying gem type from the reels, leaving only bigger gems in play.
Boosters, Side Hustle and the Happy Birthday cap
Nolimit sells shortcuts. Boosters run from 3x the bet for a guaranteed bonus symbol under the dirt up to 3,000x for the Greediest Spin, which fills every dirt position with 1,000x gems. Side Hustle adds optional side bets, including one on each bomb type exploding and one on the spin ending with no dirt at all. The 30,000x maximum win is a hard cap with a name: Happy Birthday. Once a round's total win would pass it, the round ends and 30,000x is paid. The studio puts the odds of ever seeing it at roughly 1 in 93 million spins.
